Powerchip Stage II Tune Review
This past Monday, I celebrated my President’s Day off by visiting Fabspeed in Ambler, PA to take part in the Tri-State Powerchip GB. Fabspeed has a top notch shop that warranted a separate thread dedicated just to them (http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=352627).
I had my Fabspeed X-Pipe with HFC’s installed and Powerchip Stage II tune flashed at the same time since I just couldn’t turn down Mike@Powerchip’s GB pricing. He was a pleasure to work with, and constantly kept me updated via phone and e-mail to make this event happen. He’s one of the rare people I’ve done business with who actually calls you back and follows up with you when they say they will, so props to Mike Since it started to snow before I left the shop, I was unable to really enjoy the immediate power gain. However, my very 1st reaction was that the shift speeds and smoothness of my DCT were drastically improved. It was a substantial and pleasant difference, but unfortunately was all I could really get out of the tune for the time being due to the weather. Yesterday, the weather cleared up and I finally got the chance to test out the true potential of my tune combined with my Fabspeed goodies. The moment I got onto an open road, I stepped on it and all I could do was grin Anyone who feels like our M3’s lack low end torque, myself included, you will no longer feel that way anymore with this tune. My previous E92 335i had around 400 whp/400 wtq and I missed that torque everyday with the M3, but I think those days are long gone. In addition to the newfound low end torque, the car just feels so much stronger throughout the entire rev range as mid to high RPM’s fly by. I was delighted and had a smile from ear to ear To say I was satisfied would be the understatement of my life. Before anyone says “prove it,” I’m going to state ahead of time that I did not get a before/after dyno done and quite frankly didn’t care to. I wasn’t looking for a tune that put up the best numbers, which the Powerchip arguably does anyway, but I was more looking for something that would give me added power and improved drivability, something that would satisfy me as a driver rather than satisfy number-hungry haters/doubters. I’m not going to get into any of that as my only intention was to share my personal thoughts of the Powerchip tune and my experience in working with Mike. If you’re debating whether or not to get a tune or which tune to choose, take my unbiased opinion that Powerchip is a great option. All I have to say is that there’s a reason why so many (over 100) owners have been happy customers. Sorry for the long post, but hope you enjoyed or at least got something out of it

Great meeting you as well Akash. I got back fine since it was really just more wet at the time than icy/slippery. I LOVE the sound now, you'll have to check out my Fabspeed review (link in my OP). You need to jump on an exhaust already too
