Would these be considered an upgrade over the OEM shocks ie. are they claiming that these are superior in their damping characteristics etc or are they being marketed simply as a replacement when OEM shocks wear out?

I have been considering upgrading to coilovers as my driving is 90:10 street/track, although I am not looking to lower my car.

I wonder whether I should consider these as an option?

They are intended as an OEM-spec replacement, being performance-oriented. dereksM3: I'll PM you shortly.

We should know after installation and a test drive.

I'm wondering how they'll be priced if they're an OEM replacement.
Monotube design has potential to be better.

ZCP front dampers have a lower spring perch than the regular EDC dampers. How has Bilstein addressed this? It appears, one would end up raising the front ride height of their ZCP car if they installed this.

Why not get coilovers but to each their own. Stock EDC is really not that great
