Injector question

While removing my fuel rail today. One of my injector pintles cracked.. As you can see in the pictures.

Does this need to be replaced?

And if so. Is it bad to use a brand new one , when all the other injectors are used?

I would replace that injector for sure. You don't want that breaking on a high-revving engine. As for doing the other injectors, this can get expensive, so assuming you have decent flow rates in the existing injectors, you should be fine, as there's no rebalancing needed on these engines. If you are anal, then you could send the other 7 injectors for cleaning and rebuild, which should cost you around <$150. I've used them in the past, and good service and quick turnaround time.

Thank you for the reply.

I purchased a Bosch injector through. FCP euro for $50.

A simple MAP sensor replacement has turned into a project.

My valve covers were leaking as well. (Mostly around the bolts) So I removed one since it was very easily removed at the moment. And the cover wasn’t only peeling inside, it felt warped.

So I had to order new valve covers. $1200 with spark plug tubes, gaskets, pcv, bolts /grommets, and timing covers.
