Help:I Have a Code and Search Came Up Blank

I did a search of the entire website and internet. Nothing.

I replaced my Idle Control Valve Unit this week and after the replacement, I get this code. Any idea what it is and how to fix?

I would backtrack and check all the sensors you had to unplug to get to the ICV.

Correction. Clear the codes, and if they come back, check the sensors

I cleared it twice. Comes back after a few miles of driving.

Is this a sensor issue then? Does it impact drive ability at all?

I would imagine it could affect drivability - the sensor monitors the timing of the camshaft, and relays that to the ecu which directs the vanos system - I think.

Regardless, if this happened to me the first thing I would do is make sure I put everything back together correctly. If it started after you were digging around in your engine I would think it got bumped or possibly the wire plug didn't seat properly.

Or the new ICV could have exposed a weakness in the sensor causing it to fail, which to me seems the more unlikely of the two situations.

Ok, so we went back under the plenum and looked at everything. The camshaft position sensor on the passenger side top is not real snug. We cleansed and reinstalled. Now the light is intermittent. Sometimes it causes and SES light (increased emissions) and sometimes it stays off.

Sounds like you found the culprit. I had my ICV valve replaced this week and the temperature sensor wasn't reattached correctly.

I had the increased emissions come on and off at times with a code, don't remember which one, was 80Km ago but through searching the internet I found people fixed it with replacing the low pressure fuel sensor, easy accessible, driver side on the top, takes 10 min to replace, at 136Km and hasn't come back since.
