Rod knock??? or something else?

Hi everyone,

I Started noticing a weird soft ticking/helicopter sound.
Sound more like a woosh/flutter than a knock...
2009 M3 with 77000 miles.

Its difficult to hear over other engine sounds.Under the car it's even quieter.

here is a video from inside the car with some revs:

Could this be rod bearing related? Something else?
Thanks.

Is it more so towards the front of the engine?

Sounds to me like one of the serpentine belt tensioner pulley bearings.

Buy a $5 mechanic stethoscope at HF to use to try to zero in on the sound if you can hear it when revving in neutral.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I've had this happen in my car where the tapping noise goes away when I press the clutch. Any thoughts?

My understanding, that noise is a rattle from the light weight fly wheel.
