Akra centre pipes with /// performance exhaust

Hi
Is anybody running the above combination? More than any power gain I am interested in what it sounds like. I want to replace the old OEM middle section with Akra and add to the existing /// performance exhaust which I like. An exotic sound for an ///3. I am considering this combination with a tune, and would appreciate any feedback or experience to help me make a decision. Thank you guys!

Any HFC or catless x-pipe set up paired with the MPE is going to result in a ton of rasp. If you do a search, there are some videos. I remember one in particular where someone put Turner test pipes with a MPE and it didn't sound very good at all.

Save your mone & forget the Akra Center section (~2.5k). There are several other options that do the exact same thing for less money:
  • Mastermind with Dual Resonators - $1.4k
  • Challenge with HFC & Dual Resonators - $2k
  • Challenge with Dual Resonators - $1.7k
  • MS Test Pipes & Maintain OEM X-Pipe & Resonators - $500

The reason I mentioned Akra was because I was under the assumption that it complemented the ///PE well and didn't give any rasp. I would take any mid pipes that will not mess with ///PE note which I think is unique for the car and stands out amongst other aftermarket products.

Thank you for your advice ... taken on board

No worries! Even by looking at the comments it seems ridiculous how they refer to everything as M Performance this and M Performance that.

Nice post. I'll add:
Turner Test pipes for $400.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
