The bad thing about Porsche is that they are expensive new and then never depreciate. It's still hard to find a 997.1 base Carrera under $40k.

Yea, raw material prices have gone up though, so cost of production is higher.

BMW stopped using aluminum (using steel now) in parts of hte 5 series to cut cost...my guess is unlike BMW Porsche won't cheapen their materials used -- so they passed it on to the customer with a modest hike in bogus charges too.

96k for the S and add some options tax you are already at 120k.
I had a 08 C2S and had moderately optioned costing me 88k, now the same car with the similar options will be 123k range.

That's where i am getting my numbers from. I know technically speaking it's not 120k, but you do want to get full leather and paint other than white or black. You got to pay.... that's crazy price increase IMHO.

If the GT3 gets PDK, you can expect somewhere around 7:30 and the GT3 RS will probably clock under 7:20.

I just read that the new 991 GT3 will be PDK ONLY with no manual transmission available. What a shame.

I just don't see how they can do it. If they do a pdk-only, a lot more posers will be driving the car.

If BMW had to still offer a manual in the M5, I have doubts about the GT3 pdk rumors.

I think it is just rumors spread by websites to get hits.
