The gtr is ugly and sounds like a big displacement VTEC engine. The wailing of a NA high revving Ferrari V8 engine is PRICELESS.

I just meant that he was probably expecting some criticisms since he starded a thread in a forum where a lot of folks have chosen the M3 over the GT-R !

P.S. I love GT-Rs and I completly understand why people buy these cars , it just does'nt give me everything I want in a car , it's a matter of to each his own taste !

Awesome car, Congrats! I considered it but I had to have a true manual transmission. For pure speed the only stock car that can give the gtr a run for its money is the Veyron 12X more$ though.

I'm surprised you haven't brought it that it's just a NISSAN yet.

More of your typical bashing. You're a one note dude.

GTR is a cool car if you're looking for performance bang for your buck. However it's definitely not a panty dropper. To each his own.

Why? Those mats go well with the cheap and plasticky dashboard .

Sweet car OP! I, too, have been thinking about dropping my thrice delayed M3 order, but there aren't any GTRs around and the price is finally more commensurate its performance (i.e a lot!). Enjoy!
Image and looks are two very different things. I could give a rats ass about image. Looks are an essential part, IMO, of appealing car design. FWIW, I love the looks of Nissan's own 370Z. Even the interior design is far more appealing IMO than the GTR's.

And it doesn't seem to me like you know what a "poser" is.
Ha alright Internet gangsta. Sounds like you need a hug.

The GT-R does not have an automatic transmission. It has a twin-clutch transaxle just like the DCT and PDK and executes shifts in 5 or less milliseconds.

Same could be said about M3 owners.

Says the guy with the Z4M in his handle. Pot meet kettle.

While it was originally posted in the wrong forum and the OP may have been slightly over-excited in his comparison, it is now in the "non-BMW" forum so you would expect true enthusiasts to be a little less bitter. Most of the ignorant posts reek of jealousy because the GT R is so clearly the better performer.

All -

I was in no way bashing Ferrari or the Italia. I love Ferrari's and a lot of other cars. Actually, before I decided on the GT-R over another M3 Coupe, I was looking at used Superleggera but I'm still a bit far off from being able to feasibly afford one of those. I've never owned a turbo charged or AWD sports car before so I wanted to experience it. I've had 3 M3's and felt it was time for something different.

The GT-R is a beast but it definitely does not have as MUCH soul as a car with a NA V8 and rear-wheel drive. However, the GT-R does have a profound personality and it drives really well. I plan to add a midpipe and intakes so I can hear more of its personality.
