The standard plate before that with the horse, shuttle and oil rig was much nicer and I brought mine home with me to Sydney! OP in terms of custom plates, the recommendation I have is that you get something that means something to you! btw not sure how much plates cost where others are, but fully custom plates in Oz are charged at an annual rate of $400 a year! |

The reason why MDs get special plates is so that they can park in the designated physician parking spots by the Hospital. I am sure you would get the plate instead of parking in visitor parking. So by your logic, you too would be a "toolbag"
QUOTE=Ateam;11012436]I think people are total toolbags who do a vanity plate. Especially doctors/lawyers who have some plate signifying they are a doctor/lawyer. Lame IMO![/QUOTE] |

My personal favorites for vanity plates:
IMATOOL KEYME SMLPNIS INSECUR FNTOOL You can probably guess that I am not a fan of attracting unnecessary attention to an M3. Too many haters out there that may not share in the wit expressed in a rectangular text screwed to the car. Maybe the ladies dig vanity plates? Not really sure we need yet another thread on this topic.

I still have the "shuttle" plates on my daily, but they're gonna make me replace next year. I think the black plate looks awesome on a dark car. Too bad they charge so much ($29.50/yr) or more people would have them. |

I don't have a vanity plate per se... I have an OIF veteran plate in the hopes that the next cop that pulls me over supports the troops and will rape my ass a little less

Then you'll be fine. I always ask a few probing questions so that I know it's not some douche pretending to be ex military. Those people get two tickets.

What was strange is that they asked for a copy of my orders taking me to Iraq, and when I said I didn't have them on me, they said, "OK, no big deal..." And they gave me the plates anyway. I guess just anyone could walk in and get some OIF plates at that DMV...

Do you carry your card with you? DMV personnel are usually just happy you pay money...

I always have my military ID card on me. I don't usually carry a set of orders that took me to Iraq since most of that stuff is all electronic, although lately here in NC I've been carrying a copy of my orders that brought me to Fort Bragg.

OP, sorry for the threadjack! It's just so much more interesting than not being able to think up your own vanity plate.

I have AMG L0L on my E92, gets laughs and thumbs up from people who know what it means. I usually have to explain it though since the common person doesn't know what the hell ///M and AMG are.
On the E46 I'm either going with CHICANE or APEX IT both are available just have to decide which one fits better. Other ideas: REDSHIFT MGASM MPG LOL DSC OFF M POWER MPRESIV CHKMAT3 M 4.0 GOT8400 MUNCHEN AMG THIS JIS4FUN DAD469 ASSMAN
