Painting lower grill

Curious if anyone on here has ever painted their lower grill and if so, how it is holding up. I have a gloss black kidney set and gloss black gts lip. The lower grill in front of my intercooler looks really off and it drives me crazy every single day of the week. Maybe some other ideas people have done? I have tried the die, using wheel wet (actually works pretty well for a day) and cleaning the hell out of it. Any help would be appreciated!

I painted it with black caliper paint I had lying around. It's dark gloss black and looks great. Been holding up for almost a year now.

Had mine done and is holding up fine but it doesn't make that much of a difference visually.

Made a huge difference on mine, people ask me about it at meets all the time. Maybe because mine was pretty grey, I'll try to find some before and after pics.

Thanks! This is exactly what I'm trying to achieve. My lower grill looks like your before almost one for one. I'm gonna try it out for sure.

Bumping this because I'd like to refresh my grayed lower grill too... How did you paint the lower grill? Did you just mask it off with tape and newspaper to protect the bumper and then spray paint it? Or were you able to remove the lower grill from the car to paint it and then reinstall?

I did it when my front bumper was already off, so I just unclipped it. For the rear I masked off the bumper very carefully.

This is how my grill is painted:
Glossy black with a nice gradient to the front bumper.
Matches perfect to the shadow line
