Me too. 93 and corn is a good combo. Straight e85 would be great too.

At least you removed all doubt for us.

Will the OEM fuel pumps support that?

What about your injectors? Do you know the duty cycle @ that point? Have you checked your AFR while running that mixture? I've heard from a number of reputable sources that running more than 2 gallons of E85 per fill up could cause a lean condition up top, depending on injector.

The reputable sources you cite might be talking about the stock S65 injectors. However, the Harrop kit also includes a DME/ECU flash from BPM Sport with fuel trim targets (AFR) and timing tuned as needed and developed on the dyno by Harrop.

There are lots of threads on this board about folks blending E85 with the stock injectors. I recall 3 gallons was the limit before limp home mode for one stock NA guy, but that might have been his blending E10 93 Octane with E85. I also recall reading BMW uses the same fuel system for M3s in Brazil - and down there they use ethanol almost exclusively.

On the dyno the AFR runs a little rich since that is inherent to the safety of the BPM/Harrop ECU flash tune..
I frequently ran 4 gallons e85 mixed with 91 pump before I left California without issue. Always had a tune installed though so maybe that makes the difference

Very impressive and well done Gintani and the OP.

With my VT3 (710whp) and twin BMW OEM pumps, I ran a 91/E85 blend ~ E35, and it worked really well, but a SC can't top turbos, and with full E85, this is impressive, that curve looks damn good.

The "blue" injectors sound like the Bosch unit, as the Boschs are color-coded. I've been talking to injectors and increased boost with Mike. And Roshan (Powerhaus). And Adam (Longboarder). What I am debating doing with my 650 kit is a bit out of the the norm (10lb pulley, increased cooling capacity) but every one of them said the same thing: I'll need more injector than the Bosch blues. But that's neither here nor there. I was just curious as the E85 mixture was negatively affecting your setup given the amount you were dropping in. If it's been working, then it must not be

I hope you do an e85 tune combo so the sc community can learn.

OPs setup is a symphony in the videos posted.

This is exciting. What's not exciting is it isn't as generally available as their and other SC kits. Will that day ever come?

I just don't like having to send my car to have the work done. Having the car sent out means the car gets finished at their pace which can be fast or slow depending on how they see their op-tempo. Would be more worth while if The kit was sold so that someone could install them self and then have the car tuned. and just have the car remote tuned.

I agree and that is what I would like to see. I bet they would cannibalize their super charger sales if the TT was readily available.

No shot -- E85 tuning (especially when you're not using a FlexFuel sensor and auto compensation tables) can be very dangerous when you can't ensure the actual ethanol content. Huge problem if you're tuned for E80 (85% ethanol) and then you put E70 in and beat on the car.

This is why I have an ethanol content gauge. Because e85 is poorly regulated, there are "bad batches" so you always make sure you're running at least e80
