Santorini Blue E92 M3 Build Journal

Journal Entry #1 09/22/21

Some of you may have seen this over on the Facebook group, but now here I am. I want to document all I do to this car throughout the years. Car is an Individual E92 M3 with 9000 miles. I do not plan on selling this car ever, so I just went out there and bought the best example I could. Only things I have done at the moment are I threw on some Future Classic Spacers (15MMF 12MMR), Painted Key Hole Delete, and Reflector Delete. This should hold me over for a few weeks lol. I have some BBS RIA's and Ohlins courtesy of @slicer_m on their way. Will update the thread with images once installed. For more frequent updates I'm on Instagram as @maxwell.sass

Journal Entry #2 10/05/21

The wheels have arrived.
Slicer Spec BBS RIAs in Diamond Black and pairing them with Blue BBS Centercaps

Fronts are 18x10 and I'll be running a 265/35/18
Rears are 18x10.5 and I'll be running a 295/30/18

This will be a huge improvement compared to the stock tire sizes and I hope also ends up being a lighter set-up (I will weigh them back to back once I get the tires mounted)

Went back and forth between PS4S and Cup 2s, but ultimately I will go PS4S this time since I won't be tracking it until I buy a second car. Ohlins RT will be installed in tandem with the wheels, will update once it all gets sorted.

Journal Entry #3 01/28/22

Took a while to update this, and lots to talk about. Finally installed the wheels as well as the coilovers, and now love how the car sits. In theory I could go lower, but I think for the moment this is good. I feel it has a low-key aggressive DTM style stance. Ride is significantly improved with the Ohlins, and the wider tire sizes / larger tire profile give the car noticeably improved grip… absolutely in love with the the handling now. Additionally I was able to get my hands on a satin carbon Eventuri plenum and intake which sounds glorious paired with a test pipe. Not obnoxiously loud that the neighbors hate you, but loud enough to make you enjoy the car as opposed to the near electric car silence of a stock E9x.

It's an injustice to only post 1 picture of a 9k mile Santorini M3! Beautiful car.

A relatively rare car, hence the price that you paid, I would not modify it at all!

This car doesn't need mods, looks perfect as is (including the original 359's).

Glad Maxwell is the one who purchased it then, and not you =]...stock is no fun. These mods are perfect, and tasteful; not to mention easily reversible.

Looking forward to seeing it completed.

Yeah to begin with its a car I don’t plan on selling so what do I care about impacting its value. And as you said everything is also reversible. I don’t understand why some people are so uptight about modding. Do they not realize wheels can be taken off with just 5 bolts hahah?

I agree as I too like to drive and enjoy my cars. And I like making changes to the car. But I too understand these cars sell for more without mods, so I always try and only do things that can be reversed if at some point I want or have to sell.

Beautiful car and color!

I'm considering these same wheels in the same color on my interlagos blue car. Eagerly awaiting to see how they look on your beautiful car.

I didn't see any mention as to where OP paid a certain amount for this car? This is definitely a dream spec any chance we can see interior shots? Also, if running the Ohlins RT's get a set of front camber plates to pair helps a ton with alignment. RIA's with aggressive front camber looks amazing here add a BBK and you're perfect. Which part of Texas?
