Assistance Needed......4/13 UPDATE

///M family, I have a quick request for anyone that wants to help. I find it strange that there appears to be debris of some kind in the felt boxes under the front bumper. Will you guys go and tap on the bottom of the boxes and let me know if you hear anything rattling around in there.......'preciate the assist on this.............Phil

Update: So I head to the dealership today for something quick and mention to my SA.....there's something in my felt boxes. So once the car is in the air we unscrew the drivers side box. Well besides the dust and a few small pebbles, guess what I find in there????? There was a piece of rubber weather strip laying in there. So now a tech comes over to assist and we drop the other box and then the entire undercarriage. The weather strip was from the bottom of the radiator. It's there to protect the radiator when it bouncing around. Also the mystery of how things get in there was also solved. There is a large opening right in front of the felt boxes.....very easy access. Again, thanks for the assist everyone.
PS.....the boxes are very easy to remove. It's about a 2 minute job........Phil

Well I just checked and there weren't any rattling sounds on mine. But thanks for making me find out that the plastic part in the center is falling off...

I just replaced mine and had a lot of dirt/stones in mine (they put it down on the roads in the winter here.) It you have crunched a parking curb you might also have bits of plastic in there.

My car was delivered new with 11 miles and has had something rattling in there since day one. Whatever is in there is very small, inconsequential and hasn't affected anything. I am glad you brought this up because I thought it was just mine.

Its pretty amazing at all the stuff that gets trapped in there. Especially if you drive you car in the winter with salty roads...

They're in perfect condition......I've got a Arkym front lip so I'm really careful about parking. So that's why it seems strange. I've never heard anything but today I just tapped on the bottom out of curiosity since I was checking clearance on the new tire set up...........Phil

The questions is how in the hell is it getting in there? It looks like things could enter from the half shaft area but I need to look the next time I hit the dealership and the car is on the lift..........Phil

My guess would be that they are entering through the front grill, bouncing off of the radiator or cooler(s)?

I was replacing my front reflectors with painted ones and while trying to snap one of them in place I dropped it down there and had to open mine up enough to fish it out. Didn't seem to be anything else in there at the time.
