I don't follow. ECR has stayed open and continues to hold events, but with some restrictions in place. Chin has confirmed the event is still on. Weather will be fine, ECR has a clubhouse with AC and everything.

I like the 3.1 for the challenge and elevation change of the 1.3 side, and the Monday's tend to work out well for my schedule.
And yeah, that's a pretty big bummer on the NASA event, but definitely try to make it up for something else at ECR, its great out there.

I usually prefer tracks with elevation changes, flat tracks get boring fast imo.

Same, but some of the ones here were quite extreme. Makes it tough to really send it until you've committed the track to memory.

I wasn't a big fan of the 1.3 back section -- the layout was a mess and it just didn't have a good flow like the 1.7 does. It felt cobbled together and technical just for the sake of being technical. I appreciate the fact they want to offer a different type of track to the 1.7, but there's a few sections that could've just been straightened out to let drivers get into a good rhythm. The elevation change adds a considerable amount of complexity with several blind off-camber corners. Thank God I didn't turn all of the electronics off or it would've been pretty ugly.

I won't even get into the issue of the red (advanced) run group having a couple of drivers with zero situational awareness that gave us trains of a dozen cars AND corner workers who didn't black flag them for not moving over right away. Surprised to see this from Edge Addicts as they usually run a tight ship.

Admittedly it's difficult to get into a rhythm on longer tracks, but when I look at another local track of similar length, Eagles Canyon, that one has a much better layout that I am excited to return to. Maybe I'm a little salty because I was still slow by the end of the day, but oh well. For now I will stick with the 1.7. At least it gave me a chance to finish off the R888Rs out back.
Bummed that I missed this event as I love the 3.1. It's definitely more challenging and technical. I can see getting frustrated with several turns. Watch some video and give it another try.

Also, the weather looked great yesterday, and ECR has an 80% chance of rain on Saturday. I was hoping to improve PB with Pirelli DHs. Ah well, ECR will be interesting in the wet.

Hope to run with you soon.

Best advice I can give, speaking from personal experience at ECR in the rain: do NOT have an off. The clay soil around there means you dig right in and make an absolute mess. Extractions will be difficult and lengthy -- they had to set up a special power wash station in the paddock to clean cars out. Any off meant instant black flag and lots of time lost and it got old really fast.

The new pavement means that the dry line takes a long time to form. Hopefully you get lucky.

Pfffft. Those have at least one more session in them. Toyos drop the fast lap as they cord in my experience.

Finished wrapping the M3 last night, a few last things to button up and it will be track ready. Fingers crossed for my June tracks events to actually happen.

Before finishing the roof, fender spats and hood vents done

All done with the new wing on

Looks awesome. Is that the new clear Xpel film that makes gloss paints look matte?

Nah my car is white, this is 3M 2080 Satin Battleship Gray. Just wrapping it change things up some.

That's how it is from the factory. You can only see it because the do88 has a larger surface area and isn't tucked up so high. I suppose it's a more direct shot to the cooler, but not much protection in oem form either.

That looks like hard work. How difficult was it?

I have done this car twice now and some other projects, gets easier with practice and time. Overall I don't consider it very difficult but its very tedious work. Buying nice wrap makes a huge difference, I wouldn't wrap with anything but 3M or Avery.

From what two different shops have told me, there is some nuance to every car model. For best results, you have to know the tricks for that specific body on ho/where to start the wrap from. If you're looking to pay a shop to wrap your car, ask them how many times they've done that car before...

Actually, it is less rotational mass. I wonder how much lighter these tires are now. A pound each?

My only track days lately... been playing with a stock E92 M3, no aids (only ABS), sports medium tire to try and replicate my own car. Turn in is pretty weak stock, but I have no clue how to tune in games lol
