Essex/AP Racing Brakes Black Friday 2019 Sales Event!

We'd like to share some exciting news with all of our BMW friends. For the first time ever, Essex will be offering a substantial discount on our complete line of AP Racing Brake Kits! If you place a brake kit order with us between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you’ll receive 10% off. This offer is valid on our complete line of Competition Brake Kits, 2-piece J Hook Disc Kits, and our newly released AP Racing by Essex Road Brake Kits. While 10% may not initially sound like much compared to some of the bloated, bait-and-switch discount offers you’ll see this holiday season, it equates to over $1,000 in total savings on some of our larger front/rear applications!

We’ve fortunately never been in a position where we’ve needed to discount our brake kits, and to be quite honest, we’re still not. However, as awareness about our brake solutions has grown, we’ve been receiving more and more requests for some type of special sales event. We figured Black Friday was as good a time as any to have a go at it, so here we are. Hopefully this event makes owning one of our kits a possibility for those of you who have been patiently waiting for the right moment to take the plunge. We have no plans to make this an annual ‘thing’, nor do we anticipate offering this type of savings anytime again in the foreseeable future. In summary, get ‘em while the gettin’s good!

Additionally, we’ll be offering 10% off on all AP Racing Brake Fluids, with no limit on the purchase quantity. So be sure to grab some fresh fluid to go along with your shiny new brake kit.

Finally, our physical office location will be closed on Friday, but online orders will be available. We'd encourage you to please place your order online, and if you need any assistance we'll be sure to lend a helping hand when we're back in the office on Cyber Monday. If you have any questions beforehand, feel free to contact us at 704-824-6030 or sales@essexparts.com

Thank you very much for your continued support, and please be sure to share this info with all of your car buddies!

Starting on Black Friday the prices will change on all brake kits to reflect the discount. No codes required. We thought it would be simpler that way. Thanks!

Do the CP9668 clear 18" Rays ZE40's x 9.5 +20 out of curiousity?

I love my setup!!! Coming from a much smaller/lighter car (S2000) that also had a BBK I'm incredibly impressed at how these brakes make this not feel like such a big heavy car. I have the 9668/9449 setup.

The 9668 setup clears my 18x10.5 +15 E88s but I realize there are different faces/lips etc that make that a non as standardized setup. Mine have 2.5" lips and the race pocket face.

No discounts on brake pads currently. We've had a lot of people asking though, so it's a topic we can address in the spring and possibly do something on the Ferodo line. Thanks!

Awesome! Glad you're enjoying the kit so much. Can you please email me some pics and more feedback? Also, are your wheels the BBS E88? I want to add them to our fitment database. Thanks!

Will do. I'll get some good pictures and send them your way. The kit was already on a car I bought from another forum member. I still don't have much time behind the wheel of it yet to give it a really good impression but hoping to get up into the mountains for some driving in the next week or two before it gets much colder.

The wheels are BBS E88s. The previous owner also had a second set that was 18x10 +21 that cleared the 9668 brakes. Both are the race pocket face. The 10" set had smaller 2" lips.

Just a shout out to the guys at Essex. I talked to them about a year ago discussing my brake needs on my E92 M3. They gave me all kinds of info on different braking systems, what level I was at, and where I was wanting to go. After about a 30 minute conversation It was determined that a pad change, better rotor, and a fluid change would be all I would need at my current skill level , and then the kicker; they recommended a different vendor! I was totally impressed, and blown away at the same time. Well this year I feel my skill level is up a couple of points, and that new BBK might be in my future!

Thank you very much! We really appreciate the feedback. Seeing that everyone at Essex was an enthusiast or racer before choosing this career path, we know what it's like to be on the other end of the phone line! Our priority is to guide our clients towards what is right for their car and their needs. Sometimes that means a sale, and other times that means a 'hopefully we'll meet again on a future project'. Just let us know if we can help when you're ready.

I'm going to create a separate post for these, but our new AP Racing by Essex Road Brake Kits are available for order under Black Friday pricing! These kits feature a six piston front Radi-CAL, four piston rear Radi-CAL, mated to 380mm discs at both ends of the car. The kit adds a huge amount of heat capacity, dwarfs the ugly OEM brake bits, retains parking brake function, and still knocks 10 lbs. of unsprung weight off the car! They're available in red, black, or silver.

You can see them on our site here:

BBS E88 and BBS RIA will fit as well. You just need to consult with a pro to confirm you get the right spec (some don't fit)

We don't have any specific grease recommendations. If you are tracking your car, we don't recommend any grease at all. It gets cooked and turns into a gooey mess at track temps!
