Square setup 219/260 Style with stock suspension, possible?
Is it possible to to fit the 9,5 rims with 265/35 tire in the front with the stock ZCP suspension? I will probably run Yokohama AD08 or Michelin Cup on them. I also don't want to use any spacers, because it will look even worse.
Thanks! |

Yes it is possible and commonly done. The OEM rear wheels are et23. The most commonly used after market 9.5" wheels are around et22 (Volk, advan, apex etc). If you upgrade to coilovers you may need a small spacer in the front. I need a around et19 on a 9.5" wheel with 275's to clear my KW coilovers. 265's will give you more clearance and stock suspension also has more inner clearance. No spacer needed on OEM suspension.

I know that you need at least a 5mm spacer with KW Clubsport. I was planning to get an AP 378mm BBK for the front first, and next year a new suspension. The stock brakes are OK, but the pad wear is quite high. As far as I understood the 9,5 stock wheel clears the brakes without spacer, so this will be a great solution for next season. The answer is yes to both. I would probably run 275/35/18 on all four wheels. One of the benefits of running a square wheel-set is having the ability to rotate the wheels / tires. 265/35/18 will work but I would like the taller profile and greater width of the 275's.
See this thread. This member runs 265/35/18 on all four wheels with OEM 219's 9.5" square. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...9m+square+blue

A related question....
I have 2 sets of 219 rims. Now that I know I can go square with the 9.5" for a track setup, can I also go square with the 8.5" for a winter/snow setup without any mods?

Yes but you will want spacers for the rear.

Bringing up an old thread here.. If I ran the 260M 9.5's square, could I still use the OEM tires still until they needed to be replaced? My PS2's are pretty new and I think the 245/40R18's will fit on 9.5" rim but is the tire too tall for the front?

265/40/18's have a diameter that is a little too tall for the front. It is possible to use but you will rub the fender liner when you turn. You could absolutely stretch the 245/40/18's on the 9.5" wheels. That option won't rub but the tires will be a little stretched.
