Wheel help needed ASAP....hre r40 vs te37 vs advan tcIII
After suffering vibration issues using my Rac wheels with spacers, The Rac are sold and I'm looking to move to a different set of 18s that require no spacers.
I can get a set of Advan tcIII in silver Volk te37 sl in pressed graphite Hre r40 in brushed tinted finish All for the same price. They will be wrapped in rs3 265/35 and 285/35 tires. My car is an aw e90 lci m3 on eibach springs. What should I pick!? I am very torn becuase I love aspects of each of them...

I think silver Advan is kinda boring on your AW.
I think R40 is more expensive than TEs but heavier as well. I say TE as they look great on AW E90 but R40 may have higher resell value later.

i was kind of leaning towards the advans after seeing them on ashleys car (interlagos blue m3) you think the dark finish of the te37 in 18 will look good on the e90?

the volks, hands down. volks usually don't loose resale value since almost everyone likes volks and if they buy used, they can get it cheaper then new and not have to wait. also if your car is AW, i highly recommend going with mag blue te37, that is the best color combo ever.

i think mag blue is a little too aggressive for me, but i do think it looks pretty cool. not sure what I will do as of yet, i really like this picture...... i wish i could find the te37 sl in this finish. That pic is what is making me lean towards the advans since i think the finish looks great on AW

I've got both the TE37SL and the TCIII and they're awesome wheels. But, the R40 is the hottest 18" wheel out there IMHO.

HRE R40 with tinted clear gets my vote all the time. I fell in love with them after watching Turners Motorsport using them with every race.

the thing about them to me (from pics) is that they look very flat and dont have any curve or concavity to them. makes them look small? you guys really think they look better than the other options?

Turner uses Forgeline. Fall-Line uses HRE R43's (actually I think they use the MR-3 which has the same number of spokes as the P43/P43S).

Mercury silver is nice. Everything being equal, I think the te 37sl's are the way to go....in a dark finish to hide brake dust.

I've heard different answers to that - Ryan @ VR told me no & Julius @ Style77 told me you could....in the end I went without them. Don't think they add much & like the look as is.

Rear offset on the 10.5" TCIII is 25 while the TE37sl is 20....I'll try to get a couple pics comparing them when my Volks come in early next week.

i did end up going with advans because of the availability of the silver finish. plus i liked the less aggressive rear offset so I can run a 295 tire next and not have major rubbing issues. i would have gone with the volks if I could get a te37 like the ones in the pic, but i could only get the sl in pressed graphite... But with the advans, i got a great deal from Cal at Sonic MS thanks to everyone for your help on a side note, i may be letting go of my current tires...265/35 and 285/35 rs3s....fronts are brand new basically and rears are 1/3rd worn

you should see this one http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=447461, but not my car.
I am using R40 & advan RZ-DF I would say the finish on R40 is superior than on RZ-DF though TE37sl is always my dream wheel. lol |

thanks guys, went with the advans. hope they look good on the car
still trying to figure out my options for center caps. im a bit unsure on tires. i liked the rs3's i had on the car with my old wheels, but they tramlined a lot and were a little rough on the street. thinking of DW in 265/35 and 295/35 for street and minor track use?
