DCT Shift Speed
Just curious what you all set your shift speed at for day-to-day use? I've kept mine at the max or maybe one off but out of curiosity set it at the lowest setting. It's actually pretty fun to be able to hear the exhaust a little bit longer and get that burble when you start in 2nd gear. Of course for max performance, I max it out but didn't know if others use lower settings for chill mode.

I leave it at 3 for daily duties, and max settings in M mode. I like the dichotomy. |

Pretty much the same. Once it warms up, up it goes!

I heard its bad to keep the settings to s5/6 all day everyday because it wears the transmission faster. Is this true? Cuz if not, im gonna keep it at s5 at least

If anything, the lower settings will cause more wear because it's slipping the clutches to smooth things out.

agreed. the only time I use D is in the morning as it approaches operating temp, to avoid accidentally over-revving it when cold. Other than that, always S5 for better DCT clutch life and better driving.

This has been my thinking as well, but does this come at the cost of driveline wear? S6 seems like it would introduce more wear in the driveshaft, guibos, axles, diff, etc

Maybe, but it's not like there's a rash of DCT failures or these things have been grenading on people. The overall drivetrain is quite stout.
