RB and Motor Mounts - options for Bay Area Car

So I've decided at 50k miles on my 2013 vert that it's time to stop playing the lottery and have the RB's done and it seems that at this mileage a couple of other things could be worth taking care of (like motor mounts).

I know there are a bunch of threads on here from the garages, and a few with recommendations for various shops but as a south bay area (let's generalize and say san jose) resident it seems that most of the favored shops would mean a drive to LA which I'm not ruling out if that's really the best option.

So, opinions please, are SSR, MRF, others... worth the drive to LA or are there equivalent options in the bay area you would recommend.

Would also be interested in recommendations for paint correction and coating, as I'm getting really frustrated with the Jerez Black paint getting more swirls and scratches every time a bee farts near the car.

I worked with a guy up in Hayward to replace RBs and TAs. He has reputation in E46 community and also gets very good with E92.

As for paint, my car had front repainted at AE up in Fremont. The job is good enough.

I think there is a thread somewhere on the forum having a list of Bay Area shops for things. try to search for it.

Ray (well known in the Bay Area community) did mine in Hayward. Very happy with the work. You supply the parts, he will Install. I also have a Jerez Black... such a pita to keep clean.

Do you mind sharing what your cost to replace was? Parts and Labor? I am interested as well after my warranty runs out.

Damn, $2,100 for parts and labor aside from you providing the motor mounts? That's really good.

Ray also did my rod bearings this March. No issues and great to work with. Communication is really good and he'll send you pictures to keep you updated.
