Perhaps. Worthy of note is that she graciously left, and didn't even say anything about it - the story was broken by someone else in the restaurant.

Seems like The Red Hen may have just single-handedly weakened the argument that bakers and photographers need to serve anyone that walks through the door. The LGBT+ staff members should have demanded that the Sanders party be served.

Can someone with no apparent ethics violate ethics laws?

https://globalnews.ca/news/4293875/s...en-restaurant/

At the end of the day the business has every right to refuse service for any reason aside from race, sex, etc. The waiter posting about it on FB was a bad idea, Sanders, Tweeting about it was a worse idea. Reap what you sew.

agree 100%

unfortunately, there is a large group in this country that believe they have a right to get service at any establishment regardless.

There was a "What would you do?" episode the other day that was directly related to the baker in colorado refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding.

Is this really a tweet bashing the restaurant though? seems far fetched for an ethics violation.

"Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so"

There are national protected groups that you can't discriminate against...race, religion, disability, etc. Some states expand on the list with sexual orientation, etc.

No shirt, no shoes, no dice.

Being in this industry I think the Red Hen made a bad move--denial of service should not be based on political spectrum or job position such as being a police officer. Obviously, race, religion, gender etc..should not be discriminated.

There comes a time where people need to be bigger than those who are deemed to be shallow, divisive or wrong.

i know. the baker wasnt discriminating against gays, he was discriminating against gay weddings.

he doesnt do cakes for other religions holidays, including halloween, and hasnt had an issue until the gay wedding came around.

it was a retarded hoopla here in colorado that shouldnt have even been a thing. There are hundreds of bakers in the state, and im willing to bet a bunch would have made a cake for a gay wedding. this was done to "prove a point"

Forcibly separating kids from their parents who run a meth lab in the kitchen is just as disruptive to the children, but it's done to protect them.

3. Desperate parents, or economic migrants using children as pawns? And are they really parents? I read something about consisting DNA tests to see if the "families" are related - would be a good idea, as the drug cartels are involved. Will be interesting.

4. Build. The. Wall. Remove any incentive for people to come here.

Never talk about politics while eating at a restaurant, the hatred these mentally defective libturds harbor cannot be understated.
You're fucking delusional.

Thanks for the chuckle on a Monday morning, though.

I've had Jewish delis tell me their religion prevents them from making me a sandwich with meat and cheese.

But I digress...

It is not kosher (literally) to mix dairy and meat.

It's not different at all. Their religious beliefs prevent them from making me a cheeseburger. I'm not Jewish.

To be clear- this happened to me on two different occasions. The first time I wasn't aware of this restriction. The second I just didn't realize where I was. I respected their beliefs and left or ordered something else.

Maybe so, but Democrats haven't kicked people out of restaurants at this clip since the 1950s.

Well, the phrasing is a little vague, but I think you're making my point for me.

If they don't offer meat/cheese sandwiches, they don't offer them.

The cake shop offered wedding cakes to some customers.
