Shift boot
Does anyone know if a shift boot from a reg 3er will fit a m3? 6mt of course.
Looking to install a BMW performance knob but dont want too cut the boot. Any other options? |

Should fit fine. I have the Alcantara/Performance shift knob from the E46 M3/Z4MC on my E92 M3 and it fits fine.

Tischer has two versions of the boot and they're not that expensive..

Sounds good. Post up pics when you're done! I'm trying to do the whole BMW oem aftermarket stuff too, just got the ebrake setup too haha

The boot will fit but the ring won't.... It is M specific.
So if you are thinking this will be direct swap, you've been misled.

Apparently you can. I'm not sure how, but I'd guess it involves seperating the plastic ring from the leather boot by heating the bonding or something like that.
