For me - the amber is not a deal breaker or anything, I just feel the overall appearance of the car is much cleaner minus all the amber parts. I am confident my ride will not look like a run of the mill, 3 series appliance simply because I have changed the headlights I do have respect for the classic look though. If i don’t like it with the new color/rings, I can always change it back. Just more quality time spent playing with my car

this may be relevant.
but have any of you with LED angel bulbs had issues with your wiring inside the headlamp assembly burning up the insulation/wiring? For this reason alone i may also switch to regular halogen bulbs. I haven't looked up the cost for new headlight assemblies, but I imagine they're fairly expensive. |

On my first E90 I went with LED upgrades, color was ok, but light output was not as even as OEM. My second E90 came with full LED rings from the previous owner. They are far better than the bulb replacement IMO (pics attached), but if my car didn't come with them I don't know that I'd spend the money to do the swap.

I had the Lux 180s. They are a step up from the ambers but the downside to the Lux is that the inner halos are much brighter than the outer ones.
Only way to go is a complete upgrade to custom lights. Very happy with my Oneightys. |

I would be interested if there is a LED ring that outputs 4,300k and not stupid bright. Don't like the look where the halos and the main beam are almost outputting the same brightness... it makes it look too "aftermarket"
