2011 e90 M3 83k miles

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 25,000.00

Or Best Offer

Item Interest
I am selling my 2011 BMW M3 with just over 83k miles. Exterior color is space grey with black leather interior. It has the 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Has the competition wheels, Electric Damper Control (EDC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). The mileage should not go up much as I have a second vehicle that I am trying to drive as much as possible right now, but mileage could creep up a little bit. Car is in great shape, and has low miles for being a 2011, love the car but I just need something bigger. Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll be glad to answer them.

I see you've posted it a few times without much response (which frankly seems surprising since at least outside the car looks pretty clean) - I would suggest consolidating everything into one post (exterior interior pics). I would also include the VIN, the specific options packages (run the Vin through mdecoder.com or post your sticker if you have it), total number of owners, etc.

Looks like there were some pretty major scratches on the back seats too which comes across as a car that might smell like dog (I know this having just bought an E90 that smells like dog). Might want to see if those can be cleaned up or be forthcoming about any damage. The exterior looks super clean though. I'd also post it to Autotrader/Cargurus and others if you haven't already, GLWS.

Hello. I just made this account so I can ask about the car... but, can't send PM until after at least one post.

Please PM me your contact info so I can get some more info on the car. Thanks!

Looks like this became a trade in on a new Audi?

Guys, was this a "too good to be true" type of deal? The car found its way to the city and state that I live in after being sold at auction by the dealer the car was traded at. The car does look good/clean, haven't driven it as yet, but I wish I could have a conversation with OP/seller to find out more about the car and if it is really a good buy. I wonder too why it didn't get any much attention on the forum, after being posted 3 times.

OP if you by chance see this message in time, please reach out.

Thank you !

It was a pretty clean car, IIRC there seemed to be some interior wear and I don't think it was a true ZCP car, so it was priced reasonably. You can certainly try to PM the OP. This thread had the interior pictures, the rear seat looked like the owner had a dog or something seemed like there were some deep scratches but nothing deal-breaking. No rod bearings or any of that stuff so the price seemed in line. https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1750612

Thanks for responding, I did see all posts OP created and interestingly enough there were no pet claw marks on the back seat when I saw it last week. The dealer is currently asking for 25k, I wonder if OP also still had the warranty or he cancelled. That would be nice to use for RB's and TA's.

Might've just come out during a detailing. If the OP sold the car the warranty is no longer valid, so that wouldn't be feasible to transfer at this point.

FWIW, using a warranty for rod bearings isn't a great approach - you'll have to blow your motor for it to count and a number of policies I reviewed when I was warranty shopping had some specific exclusions against "oil starvation" which might have been denied. Since TA's can actually be done yourself fairly easily and cheaply I actually canceled my warranty and just put my money into preventative work.

It seemed like it's a reasonable buy though and the OP just wasn't that proactive in selling which is why he traded it in. You can see if the dealer will let you do a PPI to confirm everything checks out.

Thanks again for your input Cyberdemon I truly appreciate it being the first M car. PPI is a must for me, already spoke with my independent shop and have plans to go test drive it tomorrow.

interesting. I'm actually looking at this car today but now I'm a little weary because of the lack of service records/history from what the carfax is showing. Dealer saying they changed the oil when the car was bought at auction and delivered to their center.

I was looking into this car as well but I'm pretty far from it as it sits in Miami atm. Communicating with the dealer was painful and I requested the carfax 3 times and they still haven't sent it. I also messaged the OP but I imagine he just hasn't logged on since getting rid of the car.

Good luck to those looking at it! It looks like a decent car.

The carfax is actually on the Offerup app for the car. There are gaps in service records which they will not be able to explain because they were not a previous owner, however like all dealers and salesmen, they swear the car is in perfect condition, doesn't even need a PPI because they paid $330 for each car to be inspected blah blah blah. I am local and dealing with them is somewhat challenging, so I can only imagine what you would be going thru.
