If I get testpipes without a tune will it mess up anything?

As the thread title states, if I get testpipes without a tune will it mess up anything mechanically other than a constant code that will be on

You will be perfectly fine without a tune, just have to deal with a CEL lamp.

Won't hurt anything, you'll get the service engine soon light eventually. Usually the more tame you drive the car, the faster you'll get the emissions warnings.

The one issue with this is that if you do have an actual issue, you won't know because the light will already be on.

In your opinion, with the CEL on , wouldn't the car be in limp mode?

The CEL is for catalyst deficiency. It does not put the car into limp mode.

Your car will just have a cell light on. A tune is not necessary at the moment.

I noticed nobody mentioned this yet, but you'll get a CEL if you don't tune it

A lot of info in this thread. But sifting through it, it seems you will get a check engine light.

I actually enjoyed doing all my performance mods one at a time to see if the butt dyno detects anything.
