valves closed is like full stock. zero drone whatsoever, you can't even tell the car has an exhaust. whenever I see a cop around I close them and proceed unseen.

valves open is an animal. I took my little brother to pickup lunch today and he said; wow you changed your exhaust? I said, why you don't like it? He goes it sounds great... it sounds like those one seater race cars. I laughed when he told me that haha.

I'm going to ask about increasing the volume a tad when they're closed.

I'll have the second sample maybe tomorrow or Tuesday and I want to immediately put it on to see the difference since im also excited about it.

I also need to either get my stock x pipe back or test it on a stock e90
I'm fine with closed sounding stockish. Those that are running catless and nonresonated xpipes will appreciate the ability to blend in.

Besides, the valves can usually be left in any intermediate position if you don't want full 'on'

Second Sample has just arrived! I'll be installing it tomorrow. I have a buddy that will throw on my first sample this week so we can compare them side by side.

Once again, tips are just placeholders until my prototype ones arrive. But with that said, the placeholders they supplied me with look like bigger OEM tips

Some notes on the Second sample.
- Quality looks great, just like the first.
- Same finish on the System, I can have it polished if there is a common vote to agree to this. (I don't mind it)
- 2.5inch tubing unlike the 3inch of the first sample, most exhausts are done with 2.5inch.

I'd like to note one thing which is extremely important.

On the second prototype, they made the Muffler pipe smaller than the other pipe, whereas they needed to both be the same size.
This will only be on the sample and if we go with prototype 2 for production, they will both be the same size piping.

With this said,
The exhaust closed will have a slightly different tone and will be about 20% quieter as it is now. We should be able to pretty much hear what it'll sound like opened.

IMO the new design doesn't 'look' like it will flow well esp when closed.

I asked before but you didn't see a reply, is there going to be any dyno testing? or objective testing of any sort?

well all the valved exhaust, cutting out 2 pipes will most likely reduce air flow unless they're opened. I wouldn't worry about this design having less flow than the first one.

I don't have my own shop to keep changing exhausts and doing a bunch of Dyno runs with stock, and 2 prototypes. Unless someone offered... I would gladly do it.

Looking forward to hearing the second sample of course but looking at the way the pipes are routed again I think I'd lean more toward the first as there is virtually no resonance area on the second design because the valve is so far back. At least on the first one since the valve is closer to the tips there is some tubing there to help reduce drone. Hard to tell for sure though since its all hidden inside a can.

Nice initiative!

I'm very tempted to change my M performance resonator.

but..

1. the design of the second version with a straight pipe passing the mufflers will make it evident to any one interested (good or bad) that this is a version not street legal in Europe = I'm out.

2. Why not make it controlled by the 'power' button? Should be fairly simple and would integrate everything smoothly.

keep up the good work!

// Chris

There's a bunch going on. After many conversations and negotiating and fighting back and forth... I finally have the path haha.

Sorry i'll make a update soon. Long story short i'm making a 3rd prototype.
I don't want to take orders when the exhaust is not perfect and still needed some changes to minor details.
