Thanks to OP for providing this mod idea!
It was all my pleasure to share my thoughts with you

Hi, recently joined the forum after I purchased a 2008 M3 (manual). Sold my Porsche 996 (kids wanted some space in the back seats, they are 4 and 5 years old). Still have the stock exhaust.

@///M Power-Belgium: any advice where to have my original exhaust modified in Belgium? Thanks in advance!!

I did the Oem. exhaust mod. (the 2 big perforated pipe method.) by myself .
But Anders R , here in my thread of post # 56- page 3 .=>http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...=733817&page=3
He went to Geel for the Oem. exhaust mod to the "Performance shop Geel" =>http://www.performance-shop-geel.be/
I had several PM's with Anders R and he was very happy with the result of the Performance shop Geel .
From the PM's I know that Anders R showed the video of page 1 from this thread in the shop , and it was no problem to do it..
He said these guys in Geel...They have the necessary experience to do it..

Truly no drone, correct? No deep, booming sound between 1,800 - 2,100 rpms like almost every aftermarket muffler I've ever heard? lol

Thinking about buying a used OEM muffler and doing this!

Awesome! I’m glad someone suggested this to me. I just purchased my M3. I didn’t want to spend thousands on a new exhaust. How much did the mod cost to do?

Depends where you're located, but I've seen a ballpark of $200-450, which regardless, is a better bang for your buck than most other options
