Sorry for bumping this old thread but i think my Problem relates to the cables described above.
After installing the psw with display in a 2012 DCT M3 the whole dash lights up with a ton of faults. The psw does not work, no lights, just nothing. After reading out the fault memory i could see that my PT-CAN is just dead (see pics attached; sorry for Germany pics)

I think i havent pressed the black miniature connectors not strong enough together. Could this lead to all this kind of faults?
Any other ideas?

recheck your connections at the junction box jbe

Thanks m8, you pointed me in the right direction.
The connection from the psw harness, which connects the PT-CAN back to the car, was loose...
The second fault was indeed the miniature connections, they werent pressed together strong enough.
The PSW is working like a charm now

2004 BMW Z4  [0.00]
I recently got mine installed with the new hub(?) that comes with the kit. Now the steering column is creaking every time I turn the wheel left or right. Does anyone know a fix for this?
