But yes, I agree with your earlier statement that a proper tune can (in theory at least) help MPG, for all the reasons you listed.
I reset it once last night to get an average with a mixture of driving. I will reset and get an average with high speed only driving in the next few days.

So, question....I install the ESS SC and get the tune. If I need to for any reason go to the dealer for work will i be voiding anything. I know that any issue that are cause by having the SC will void warranty work if BMW can confim the cause. But if all is well will just having the SC installed void anything?

And you might even get a letter from the dealership suitable for framing to prove it, right PG.

I will continue to test MPG over the next week to try and get as much info as I can based on different conditions and driving habits. I will reset and start logging data again tomorrow. Once I collect enough data hopefully I can deliver some accurate information.
Very nice Roman. Interested in doing any Vbox runs? Getting my new rims and tires this weekend and am game for 60-130. Let me know.

Got a chance to take the car out these past 2 days being we had warmer weather 35 to 40 deg ( if you wanna call that warm , well compard to the 20's we were having )

Filled her up and did 100+ miles of normal highway driving ( get better gas milage with sunoco 93 ) and i averaged 18 to 17 mpg and this was at speeds of 80+ never less then 80 .

Now for spirited local driving i averaged 16 to 15 mpg and this was with hitting 1st - 3rd pretty hard about 4 times and with in 15 miles of driving , mpg were pretty consistant which in my eyes wass pretty good considering the car burn more fuel when cold outside .

once im close down to empty i'll post what my total milage was ( i reseted the miles prior to fillen up ) .... this was we'll see how close or off the trip computer actually is

I'm back from the Holiday Vacation, so count me in for next weekend!

Not driving any car for more than two weeks feels like my car has 1000hp now, hahaha!

This might be a little off topic, why tuners are developing superchargers instead of twin turbo systems? what are the difference between the 2? is it because supercharger is relatively more reliable and less expensive than TTs? Personally, I would prefer TTs on my M3...
