Autoblog calling end of production for E90 this October
Autoblog saying end of production will be this October for E90.
http://www.autoblog.com/2011/05/31/b...-model-coming/ Thought it was only E90 ending this summer. EDIT: Sounds like Autoblog got their facts wrong so updating post accordingly. No new news...

Yeah, Motortrend says the same. E90 though. It doesn't say E92.

There is a guy on here that has ED confirmation for 9/20 for his e90 M3. I am waiting for ED confirmation around that time too. So I think October is the end of the road for e90 production. My CA told me that BMW is combing some packages and the online order fields are blacked out for September builds. He is waiting for BMW to make the changes before he can place the order for my e90.

I have to remain skeptical of the suggested cutoff date though. It is not clear to me how BMW, especially in the US, will be able to make it through to the F30 launch in the Spring without having any 3 series produced for months. |

But a 10/11 EOP is a more logical date than 07/11 as that gives BMW 3 extra months of E90 inventory at dealers before the F30 is introduced; 6+ months between E90 EOP and F30 SOP did not make any sense to me. |

Bimmerfile offers up more details:
http://www.bimmerfile.com/2011/05/31...nding-in-july/ They claim E90 M3 is gone in July. They do corroborate the October date for the 3 series sedan, and contrary to what I had thought and said, they claim the E91 will actually go a little longer - into the Spring. I am still left wondering how 3 series demand will be met from November until whenever the F30 debuts in the US, which we've heard is not until spring 2012. Even if F30 production starts up in early 2012 as rumored, if the car won't be availabe until some months later in the US as suggested by SCOTT, then how will they make sure that they simply don't run out of E90s to sell before then? |

They must have moved it up, because MY source stated that the E90 M3 Sedan will end production in November 2011.

Thanks obvious guy. I was pointing out that the M3 doesn't follow the 3-series model cycle and it is not considered part of the normal 3-series production.

If they shut down E90 production to retool for the F30, no more E90 M3.

Could be correct could not be who knows. All I can say as of now we have not received anything from BMW stating the end of the model. So intill then i can't confirm anything till we hear it directly from BMW. We get bulletins everyday, Ryan is keeping his eyes peeled.
However most of the time the forum community knows info before we dealers get it so who knows it could be correct, either way if your interested in getting one you better hurry, its always better to be safe then sorry i guess
