got an offer in the mail, test drive a new A6, get a $100 AMEX reward card. I think I just might (although I have no intention of getting rid of the '07 335)....I think the car looks very good.

I was at a mall at home in SD where if you test drove a Toyota car of your choice you got a 25$ gift card. Worth it for me since I was there already and the drove lasted 8 minutes.

The debit card thing has come a long way--I drove a Buick and 8 days later the card was in the mail as the dealer already entered the validation online at the time of the drive...that was an easy $50. It's been a few years since I got the Thomas Pink $100 from BMW....

Don't know but I used to get offers from MB and Lexus as well--the MB offer was $100 but seemed hokey, it did not have a verification form like the legit offers always do. I did not want a redo of the Touraeg rip-off test drive. I drove a V6 and V8 and when we got back to the dealership the kid goes, "Oh, by the way, we're all out of Bourne tickets." Jaguar was legit with a free Odyssey White Ice putter (and I didn't have to drive the car), Mazda gave me $50 years ago, Nissan was never ending with Swiss Army Watches and Kenneth Cole laptop bags (back when people used laptops).

But truth be told we could get an A6 if my wife likes it, the next car is her choice. It's a car I actually like--it's way better looking than a 5 Series...

Does yours name a specific dealership? Mine does, and unfortunately I think it's like 10-12 miles away, when there is a closer one about 2! You can't have it all....

Yes, it does and it's part of the dealership where I get all of my cars from. There is actually a closer Pennsylvania dealership to me, but it's from my regular dealership. I just figured they got my name off of their list and not one from Audi HQ. And at least since they know me there from my other cars and cross-shopping the A5 when I got this 335, I can be honest and let them know that I am just there to take them up on thier offer and not pretend I am going to drive off with anything that day. $100...I'll take it

you have to be in some sort of past purchase or visit database where they think you're at a point of switching out of your old cars. Likely, you would have to made multiple purchases of similar price level cars in the recent past to get this solicitation.

If you bought you car used, then you likely won't be added to this database.

This is a very directed marketing approach, no one just gives away free money to random people.

I hope yours works out as well for you as mine did for me. I went there today and my dealership was having a tent sale for all of their brands. I saw the general manager who i know and he put in my code. I also got a free hotdog, hamburger, cotton candy and Mountain Dew.

Unfortunately for Audi, thanks to their offer I'm pretty sure I found my next car which is a 650 x-drive Grand Coupe with m-sport. I haven't been bowled over by it until I saw it in person today, it took my breath away. Among the hundreds of other cars, it really stood out. Thanks Audi.

i got 75 bucks card from lexus for test driving the new ugly gs. showed them my 3 series, test drove the gs, dealer provided code to obtain card and bam.. Go for the test drive for free money.
