Closing

Is there any way to increase the sensability of the alarm? I want it to sound as soon as my car is touched or even near it lol...

Not on the stock alarm. I think you would have to go aftermarket with the James Brown model.

Add an aftermarket/adjustable radar/shock sensor to the OEM alarm, using either the hood OEM pin switch or the interior OEM motion sensor trigger lines. There's a DIY at E90post forum of how to do a PnP harness for an aftermarket sensor install using the interior OEM motion sensor.

If that means using a DEI sensor I still have one from my E46 that I never bothered to use.

You do NOT want to have it that sensitive. It will go off all the time and not only will you learn not to trust it, your neighbors will hate you and probably screw with your car because of it. Also, in NY, if your car alarm becomes a nuisance it can be towed.

I thought that the ultrasonic cabin sensor could be adjusted at the dealer in SW?

But as far as your desire to have a stupid car alarm that will get your car keyed more than anything, as QS said, don't do it.

Your best bet is to have a two-stage alarm that softly chirps if someone gets close to the windows. That involves a lot more work than it sounds. I would probably charge about $1000 and up for an alarm with CAN interface in one of our cars with a dual-zone prox installed where this has a prayer of working (inside a hollowed-out console armrest cover).

Well my car is in my driveway but traffic cops give me a summons for bs even though I have my state plaque on my window. It's more to annoy them then anything else.

Does that really sound like a good idea? On top of the first ticket, you'd get a second one for being a public nuisance AND your car would get towed.

It's doable but I think it's a very bad idea.

Well maybe in your states u don't experience the same annoyance with traffic police. I received a summons on my windows while the car was in my driveway stating how my license plate was dirty. Which was bs and he claimed he couldn't see the numbers at 8am if u look at my car pics I don't have anything but a cf frame around it

I'm not debating that. I'm simply saying that adding an annoying ass alarm is NOT going to help the situation. Not to mention all the impound fees you'll have to pay every time they tow it.

But it's your money

Shaking will NEVER set it off. It's a shock sensor, not a shaking sensor. Impact will set it off. Also, reaching into the car will do it. I forgot about the radar sensor and reached into the car and scared th shit out of myself.

I would test it further by breaking a window. If it still doesn't go off you may want to take it to the dealer.

I thought all of the windows had to be up for the motion sensor to be activated

What good would it do with the windows up? The windows would have to be broken to reach in but at that point the shock sensor would have already gone off.
