Audio just stopped working
My new (new for me) M3 troubles have been a bit irritating. Two weeks after I bought the car had to get the battery replaced (car went into limp mode after a start/stop/start/stop early in the morning) and they told my vacuum pump and vacuum sensor had gone out too. Sounded a bit dubious but whatever. Huge bill .
As of this morning the audio had just stopped working. Not sure what happened. iDrive system works but no audio at all - Radio, Navigation, Bluetooth phone all without sound. Any idea what might be going on? I have driven BMWs for 13 years. Never seen this before |

My previous car (E92 328i) had a similar issue. It would happen every few months where the audio would just not work. It didn't have iDrive though. It would start working by itself when I would start the car again a few hours later. I never discovered the cause...

My audio stopped working maybe 3 times in the past year. The next time I turn on the car several hours later it just magically works again.

Same thing happened to me. The audio magically came on later in the day. Some of the posts in this forum referred to possibly water getting into the amp through the left side tail light after car is in a thunderstorm and to check for moisture. I did that and didn't find any water or moisture. So not sure what is going on. Very strange. My car was in a parking lot in a thunderstorm the evening before the audio stopped working. So who knows?
