Finally... I bought my first M3

I don't reeeeally want an F80 M3. I don't want an F10 M5 (a little big for canyon drives). I want what I drooled over but couldn't afford when I first started working back in 2007. I want that V8. I want that competition package. But... i couldn't find the right one in my budget. *Sigh*

I did find E93 M3 close by that seemed ok. I went to go see it but no one was there. I really needed a car, so I called last Friday afternoon and made an appointment to stop by on Saturday.

Friday night rolls around, wife and kids are asleep and I'm UP... eBay, Autotrader, Hemmings and good ol' Cars.com. Nothing. I decide that if the E92 is really what I want, and I'm gonna keep it for eternity, then 10 grand is not too steep of a price to pay. Then, I changed my search settings.

At the top of the list was THE car. I called the next day, it was available. I go, test drive and fall in love. There's literally 2 other people after me waiting to test drive. But i always take time to think about these things, at least 24 hours.

3 hours later, I call to see if anyone else bought it. My salesperson said that the guy after me wanted it, but he found an Alpine White one with red leather that he's gonna fly out and buy in Arizona. I said, I'm on my way.

The rest is history... or rather it's just the beginning!

Still working that out... lol

It may require that I head over to the Land Rover dealership with my tail between my legs, but that's still being negotiated

welcome to the club and congrats!! You pick the perfect interior color especially for our kids, it helps hides any mess they may do to our interior long enough to cleanup!! Happy motoring and try to avoid the "Mod Bugs"!! I hear its become an epidemic for us E9x M3 owners!! lol

Thanks! Yeah, I'll do my best. Took the boys to the park today... the middle one decided to let the sand out his sneakers, in the backseat... uggggggggh. If they were so darn cute...

After that, we went up to Mulholland drive where we had mostly open road. Frowns were replaced with smiles! Here's some pics from our trip...

Love these new car owners! Makes me love and appreciate the E92 more and more. The Frozen space gray was my first choice but I couldn’t justify another $10k for the paint job, especially the cost of that intoxicating NA V8

Went out for my first Angeles Crest Highway run on Saturday morning. Got to the base around 6:30 am and there was almost no one out there (more importantly, no police). Stopped to take some DSLR photos, here's a few.

I almost closed on it.. until my guy in Phoenix called back on the Black comp package i was looking at (Sales guys never get the details right) while they had me waiting. I picked up mine monday morning.

Congrats! Overall it seemed like a pretty solid car

Yeah, will have to keep that in mind.. I'm new to LA too, so everything's kinda a surprise right now.

But I'm much more of an autocrosser than a car show guy, and the e92 ZCP is a top flight contender in F Street.. so you'll find at those events most weekends
