A compilation of 2 years of Oh Sh*t Moments at the tracks

Haven't tracked in 2 1/2 months, so no new track videos to post.

So, thought I'd post a compilation of (or, best of OC3's) Oh Sh*t Moments during past 2 years.

Happy 4th!

fun video! thanks for sharing.

funny about halfway through the video (probably should've remembered the timestamp) you lost the drift and were stopped on the track, I think I heard people cheering and clapping or something..

Lol...what brand undies do you wear? I'm buying stock in that company!

Enjoyed the video. The first clip must have been a big oh shit moment. The E9X M3 is an amazing machine. Once you turn off the DSC...whole different ballgame and about x10 more fun!

Fun stuff. Thanks for sharing

Try to be less abrupt when turning in, as you can see the car gets quite unsettled lol.

Most of the moments looked like you've done it on purpose just to keep things interesting

But damn, those tracks in the middle of a desert are awesome for exploring the limits. If you lived near Watkins Glen or Mosport, the video would have been much shorter.

I saw 11+ minutes and figured I'd watch the first few minutes, ended watching the whole thing and now searching for the next track day. Looks so fun, I miss it!

Yeah, there's a grand stand right behind where that spin took place.

Yep, being smooth is one of the things I'll be working on when the new car's ready.

Yeah, we're lucky here in SoCal. I see track videos from north-east and, woh, walls and trees right off of the tracks...

Sliding and drfiting is kind of addicting to the point where you do get slower. BUT it opens a whole new world of possibilities in sliding the car into position.

The key is to break the rear end loose, catch it and go and avoid the pendulum (sp?) effect.

Looks fun. Around here if you're drifting you'll probably hit something, and if not, you'll get kicked out if its repetitive. I'm totally jealous of those open desert tracks.

Man oh man. For anybody that is confused about steering into the slide to correct oversteer, just watch this video once. If you don't get it by then, you won't get it.

Seriously, this vid has huge instructional value.

Agreed. This is a good demonstration of steering the car with throttle.

The one thing you won't get from just about any video is the timing of the steering wheel release, that's a pure feel thing.

Try running at 1:58 pace with no aero and see if you get sideways or not.

Anyhow, test drove an s2k for one lap and, man, the steering/chassis is tight! In comparison, M3's steering has so much free play...

Here's another video of some serious drifting. I think that's bigjae in disguise in a starring role. The socks give him away.
