Are you sure this is for the E9x M3 HiFi (which already have tweeter covers)? I thought it was an upgrade for the base from a non-M car (which was not available on the Ms and does not have tweeters). Could be mistaken, but would be interested if it's actually a PnP upgrade for the HiFi. Your link above clearly shows the M3, I've just never seen this Alpine kit on an M car.

That's a good clarifying question. I was originally confused by the same thing - as was my friend who purchased it for his E8x that already had HiFi (hence the sale). This upgrade is actually meant for a base system to be more like HiFi or at least that's how I understand it. It is not an upgrade to existing HiFi.

Admittingly, I'm not familiar enough with the M3 sound options to say it was ever sold with a base system. If the lowest option for the M3 was HiFi then it would not apply to our cars (again, not 100% sure).

All the DIY I've seen point to purchasing the A pillar tweeter covers which indicate they were on a base system, not HiFi.
