We love the E9X M3 platform, having our Japan red E92 M3 development car often proves one of the most fun options in our garage to take home. But as the car ages, or when owners simply want to vastly improve the handling, items such as the dampers are one of the most important items to replace.

We loved the existing Bilstein kit available for the E9X M3, but wanted to extend its range even further. So we worked with Bilstein to produce our own variation of its kit:

Comfort > Softer than Bilstein settings
Sport + > Stiffer than Bilstein settings

We have developed these dampers in conjunction with Bilstein UK over a period of years. As good as the original Bilstein dampers were, we wanted to tailor them for our personal preference along with the ability to use with lowering springs and MSS Height Adjustable Springs.

We worked with Bilstein to change the valving to make the Comfort setting even more compliant and the Sport + setting slightly stiffer giving more range of damping given by the electronic modes in the EDC equipped E90, E92 and E93 M3.

These dampers can be used with stock or any lowering springs on the market that work with stock dampers, including MSS Adjustable Springs. They will not work with KW HAS/BMW M Performance HAS.

We run these dampers with MSS springs on our own demo E92 M3 and the ride and handling characteristics are the best we've tested on this platform.

Okay. Safe to assume a custom set like this isn't in the works for non-EDC?

A few questions:

Will there be a limited supply of these, what other hardware do I need to install (ie the top bits look different to oem and want to know if I need to order new caps/mounts), and will there be a video?

There's typically always a limited supply as they are proving to be very popular, even after ordering big batches they run out quickly.

Hardware wise, the dampers reuse all the OE parts - the only difference is the wiring, hence why we supply the adapters for those in the package.

And absolutely there is a video on route that should be completed by next week
