mine is up in May this year, though my mileage is only at 22k right now. I'm trying to sneak in a free diff. fluid change in April, as my CBS is calling for a required service at that time. I'm also shortening my oil change intervals, since it's a low mileage car, i'm going with 9 month/9k miles changes instead of 12 month changes.

I think the extended warranty is about 3k-3.3k. SSP now has experience working on the DCTs, so if it did go, you have options outside of BMW to fix it.

can they do that? Even though manuals say 37k for spark plugs, can they just give it away if you have 20k?

I'm extending my warranty. Personally, I wouldn't drive this car without one. All you need is one major failure and you're toast. I'm not extending the maintenance package however.

how much is that costin you?

I'm still on the fence-can we combine a list of services to get before the leash comes off in may? Interested in what others would do...

and my concerns are oil pump and rod/main/crank bearings-and no I don't have a supercharger

I always enjoy hearing the stories of cars outside of their warranties that are still holding together nicely. Just shows that our vehicles are really reliable.

On that note, I am knocking on wood right now for everyone with and without a warranty!

I have just over 23K on the clock so far. I kept a close watch on my service interval and just had to make sure I put on about 1000 miles over the last couple months to get those in under the wire.

Cool, I think I'm in line to get 23k by the time my warranty runs out.

GregW - Congrats! Good to see many of the stalwarts are still around. Based on how things are going for your wife's purchase of a ML, you might end up with a new M3 before you get a new ML with the options you want.

Go get a key read. Its based on driving style not mileage.

Mine goes off factory warranty in about a month.

I have the extended one and I almost think it might be better than the factory one.

My maint. is up this month, my warranty is up in June.

No plans for an ext warranty, this car has been rock solid and there are not many reported issues.

I went for a manual knowing I would keep the car for a long time. If I had a DCT or SMG, I would be afraid to not have coverage.

wow, you got a lot of work done for a low-mile car! Does the key read differ from the onboard computer service read?

im not sure how it works. my SA just told me if i drove X many more miles i could get XYZ done under warranty. i do have a lot of track miles so have needed pads routinely and brake flushes and such which they covered as well with me proving the high temp fluid.

I was quoted about $4750 for a gold package with a $50 deductible on every visit. Till 2015 september and 70K miles.

My warranty expires soon. I'm going in sooner for a check and to get the 3 yr extended power train warranty. I don't want to think about buying a new S65.
