how do i reset service light and intervals

hi, guys i want to change my oil but i dont know how to reset the car to say service oil in 7000 miles after a fresh oil change or whatever the proper mileage interval is. Is there a certain tool that i need to purchase that i can use to set the intervals in between the oil changes or brake pads or any other general service that needs to be done. how do i do this?
thanks guys

Key ON engine off. Cluster must display the time. Press and hold instrument cluster button until the display on the cluster changes from the time to a service icon. Then using the stalk on the left side scroll until you see the display for the oil service which looks like . When the oil can is displayed press and hold the BC button on the end of the stalk and a little clock will appear. The reset should then be complete.
Hope this was helpful
