Anyone interested in a mid week post work meet? This Wed around 6 or 6:30? I'll be flying on Friday so can't make those meets this week

im not sure, family , but i am going to the Rubys car show in redondo beach. leaving in a few minutes. great show, 5-7 pm. ill be there from 4-6 ish.

Anyone know of a good mechanic in our area? Just got a quote from the dealer and if I can't find something more reasonable I will probably just have to start looking for a new car.

I haven't done work there myself yet but I've heard from multiple ppl that Southbay Autohaus on Rosecrans is a good spot

Trying AutoHaus... he seems pretty confident that he can fix my issues for a price that I can live with. Fingers crossed because I'm not ready to get out of this platform.

They did my rod bearings and some minor mods. They felt like more of a shop for mods then general maintenance so I didn't think to reach out. Had a great experience though with doing the RB there.

Biggest issue is my A/C is leaking and not working. The quote I got was $3,800 for just that. Plus recommendations for a minor valve cover leak, my thermostat fault (which is not throwing a code), TMPS batteries dying and brakes in <4000. This was after doing rod bearings and throttle actuators recently so my wife was ready to throw in the towel and tell me it was probably time to sell. Not to mention I just went from commuting Redondo to Torrance to now going Redondo to Century City.

AutoHaus gave me hope though and they are going to take a look Wednesday to confirm and give a real estimate. Fingers crossed that we can get a good price for good work. If not probably moving into a Tesla because my building at work has chargers and not paying for the gas would probably pay for the monthly payment I calculated.
