Nitto Invo Vs Michelin PS4s

Hi guys,

long time listener, first time poster. (well second post actually).

Had my e92 m3 for a little while now and I'm in the market for some new rubber. I came over from an FBO 335i making 300kw atws, and ran nitto invo's on that. The grip was not behd in the dry but a little bit hairy in the wet.

For reference, i was running 245/35/19 and 265/30/19 on the 335 with kw coilovers.

Would be looking at running 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 on the M3 with the 220M wheels. Stock Suspension.

Just looking for your advice or feedback on anyone thats run both INVO's and PS4s - is there a huge difference?

any feedback would be much appreciated cheers fellas.

not sure if you have thought about yokohama AD08R... its a fantastic tyre and does great on street and track, if you decide to do some track days.

otherwise ive never used NITTO. currently running PS4S and no issues. only done 500ish kms..

Yeah looking at the AD08R but looking for something good for the street in all conditions. Hmmmmm those AD08R look sexy though.

Or maybe just leave the car at home when it rains lol

I have used both sets. Ps4's are a fantastic tyre.
Are they worth the money?? Probably.
Are there other choices you would consider?
Because I have used some excellent tyres that bang for buck would almost keep up with ps4 if not eclipse them.

OK so these are tyres I have used actively listed below and in no order of rating.

Kumho ecsta PS91 on 19" wheels. Priced well, excellent street tyre, quiet grippy, long lasting.
Kumho ecsta V720 on 19" wheels. Priced well, for semi track days. Was pretty bloody good on street, slightly noisey though. In wet conditions, out of corners drift spec, but still performing well at speed without wheel spin so grip was good.
Dunlop sport Max on 17" wheels. Expensive, perfomance was way off pace compared to kumho above.
Hankook ventus s1 on 19" wheels. Can get a good price if researched. Great tyres. Little bit if road noise high speed.

I would say these few give you some variety. Could go on but I think you have options now.

I've got ps91s on the rear seem good so far. For extra discount go to westate autobahn on Newcastle street and tell the guy Solomon sent you.

Only downside I see is it's got a lower tread wear than ps4s. 260 vs 320

So you rate all these tyres better than the Nitto INVOs and comparable to the PS 4S?

I've never run PS 4S but I've run the NITTOs, Continentals, Bridgestones, Pirelli and Falkens over the years and with the INVOs at almost half the price of the the PS 4S I've got no complaints.

I went for the INVOs the first time because they're highly regarded for being quiet (which was important for me on those boring freeway stints) as well as having solid performance in the grip department.

My local supplier no longer can order them in though so it might be time for a change.
