Minnesota BMW exhaust shop
Does anyone in the Twin Cities area have a recommendation on a shop to use to install an Akrapovic Evolution and do a tune on my 2012 E92? I am completely unfamiliar with the BMW capable shops here. I'm thinking that asking my dealer do it is not the best option. Also, what sort of knowledge/experience should I be looking for in terms of the differential bolt issue I've read about? Thanks.

I actually bought the car new from them. But I assumed as a BMW dealer that they would not do a non-OEM exhaust mod, or at least an Akra. But I'll at least talk to my SA, who is a good guy, and see. Won't mention the tune issue, though. Assume I can do that myself. Will also check out the other shop too. Orr Automotive was the other one someone mentioned. Was going to talk to them too. Thanks.

Check out Imola motorsports in St. Louis Park. They're doing more and more BMW work. However, I don't think they are doing any ECU flashing as yet.
Can't go wrong with ORR or Imola for the installation though. Also, check out MNBMW.com. It is run by Imola motorsports and they might be able to give you more information. |

I've talked with Orr and Top Gear Autoworks in Minneapolis, which works on a lot of exotic cars and seems pretty savvy with mods. Waiting to hear from dealer too. So, seems I have some options. Thanks for input.

Yeah, I'm going with Imola after talking with them several times and getting a few more local recommendations. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to post soon with my new Akra Evo. Going with the CF tips.
