A lot of insurance companies will not even provide collision insurance on a car with a rebuilt title like that. Talk to your agent and give them the VIN so they can confirm if you're eligible for coverage.

Exactly what they said! Verify its a rebuilt title. Ive never had an issue insuring rebuilt titles thru Geico, Allstate or State Farm but call to check before pursuing. Also, a PPI is even more important based on what the seller is stating. The story is certainly getting interesting
