Man, you must be very frustrated hanging out there. It seems to me that a large number of the threads on this forum are "teasers" from various vendors introducing carbon fiber thingies that will be available soon, or the latest wheel soon to arrive from another new company in Miami.

I can't share more details at the moment. And I already apologised for this. And there is one reason. Someone deserves my respect and I don't want to betray him. But be sure, if he told me only lies, and nothing will happen in those dates, you will know the whole story and probably also his name. And I will be publicly stoned in this Forum... I know...
Anyway ..I posted something into an M3 forum, probably because I am speaking about ...M3..
Look no disrespect intended, but i don't see the point of this thread. You are not telling us anything at all.

It just makes it look like you want everyone to know that you know whats going to happen and no one else does. it makes no sense.

You could at least just give some direction to what is expected.

Pretty much. Just post when you have information or a real product, etc. Not weeks in advance with a pic of a lugnut.

The OP lives in Italy, so anything he has to say will only pertain to people in that part of the world. (hint hint)

I think the OP is well intentioned, but I doubt he fully understand the complexities of BMW's marketing and product distribution channels. (hint, hint)

Funny, especially the part about shedding 600 lbs, and you'd need to add at least 15 seconds to the Ring time. .

If BMW built a V12 twin-turbo M3 with a gazillion HP in Europe...it wouldn't matter to me one bit. That's because I live in the United States.

It's been this way for a long time. With the E36 M3 and M-Roadster, we got the 240HP S52 in the US, while Europe enjoyed the 333HP S50.

Actually it was 321 HP...

Yes, in Europe. I could have sworn it was 333 in SAE horses, or was that the S54?

US-spec E46 M3 S54 engine was 333 SAE HP

Euro-spec M3 S54 engine was 343 HP...later revised to 338 DIN HP

The difference was primarily due to the location of the catalytic converters.

The US-spec cars had the cats in the headers, while the Euro-spec M3's cat were located in the section 1 mid-pipe. (less restrictive)

It seems all the new members are the ones having problems with this thread, Savage has been here long before most of any m3 owners or post members, and his posts were accurate and very informative, is it me, or m3 post has lost most of the people that really contributed to the forum, they no longer post here, some do but in my opinion we have lost a lot of very informative pieces from swamp, lucid, epacy, PG, Savage, South, footie, and I think it's because of the members acting childish and out of place comments, trust me if Savage opened this thread, it's because there WILL be a big announcement from BMW

Euro S50 has 286 and the Euro S52 has 321.
I prefer the S50 motor, its a much stronger engine than the 3.2

All I remember clearly was that I bought the first-year, 1998 US-spec M-Roadster with 240, only to have next year's model show up with 333. Yes, I was pissed about that too.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the reasoning for BMW not bringing any past CSL (future one too?) to the US? to keep it rare? low production? European's hate Americans ?
