Well the group buy is starting soon and the videos will be up really soon as well. You still have time to rock the MPE in the meantime |

Cell phone video works too :-) because I can extrapolate the sound from it pretty well (for iPhones at least) because I record with my car and hear things my real ears can't.

Better than nothing but still hard to tell how it will really sound since its inside a building. At least it seems nice and quiet with the valves closed.

Sent out a mass email, and i'll also post it here:
First Off, I'd like to thank you for being interested and keeping up with me through the whole process! It started off an idea and through the power of the BMW community... a dream became reality. I'd like to explain the current situation of the exhaust system. Videos are planned to be completed Sunday, and you will be the first ones to here from me for the video. A group buy will open this week hosted by gangup.com to allow a super easy and seamless way to join. The exhaust will have various tip color options with different finishes on the system. Even with it being extremely affordable, I wanted to be able to cater to everyone's needs and wishes to make you happy. What's still in development? We are finishing the exhaust tips with the Bomiz logo. This part is near completion and seeing how the samples came out. This will not affect the Exhaust development time frame. An X Pipe is still in development. We created a first prototype, but it still needs tweaking and adjustments for a release. There will be various configurations allowing you to choose how aggressive you want the sound to be. One we release the X Pipe, group buy buyers of the exhaust will have the option to purchase at an extremely discounted price. We originally were not going to create one, but there was a ton of interest in a full system... that's why this is behind the rear section schedule. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I'll be glad to answer anything I can! I apologize for the wait, but I hope you trust me when it will be well worth it! |

Can you include drive by full throttle videos with valves closed? Will want to verify that I'll pass sound. If <90 dB at 40-50 ft away, I'm surely in. (Muffler only, stock elsewhere in system)

IMHO, videos with the mic near the exhaust are useless. No one hears that unless the sound is pumped into the aux or used in videos.
IMHO, a proper sound demo will include simple driving around, hiway entrance acceleration and downshifts etc. Resist any urge to speed up or slow down the sound as seen in some IPE advertisement. No post processing. I know you wouldn't do any of that anyway. |

Here's some clips of the exhaust that Spencer made.
Notes before watching: - This is a Full Catless RPI X Pipe - Obviously Videos don't do justice. In person i've been told it's one of the best sounding system they've ever heard (people who constantly work on m3's) - Once I finish developing an X Pipe, there will be multiple configurations to lower or increase volume. |

Will you be developing an x-pipe with HFCs in the primary location, along with resonators further to the rear?
If so, what HFCs are planned? Lastly, do you have target price-point/range? TIA -Mark in St. Louis Quote:

The x pipe pricing is not available yet, but it will go along the lines of not breaking the bank. It will be discounted for people that have purchased the rear in the group buy. Obviously HFC makes the price significantly higher, but i'm going to keep it as low as possible. The location will most likely be how Akra does it in the same location as the secondaries. And be either a 100cell or 200cell cat. With resonators at the end. |

Excited to get this peice of kit! I wonder how it will be with my test pipes setup, and how much louder than my SS Race axle back.
