I said I gained about 50 to 60 WHP from my work not at the crank. At the crank 60 hp is about 75 or so.

We should get niterider (full bolt-ons) to run against PG and see how big of a difference the 4.6L is.
If u wanna visit Gintani someday let me know and I can meet u so I can give u a ride in my car...As far as the run with with Rob, that would be interesting just to see by how many cars he pulls away from me, his car is fast. What I do plan on doing is some runs with another stock e90 M3 and filming it. Just to show how much of a difference the whp makes when compared in a run. I think this will help people believe and Im curious as well.

Kind of off topic...Gintani will be working on my M3 very soon. How bad is the smell with the full cat delete? I had an STI that was catless and it was absolutely rancid. Kind of ruined me on it, but the extra power is nice.

I would not dream of full cat delete. I liek to be a little environmentally conscious. And it really does stink. Smells a little bit with high flows as well... Without is an eye burner.

LOL... I can attest to the fact that it does in fact stink but does not smell at all in the cabin.

Is that with straight pipes from the headers back?
How much are the HF Cat pipes.
Great price.

50whp of pure n/a goodness is easy to obtain with the following & their pretty accurate estimates:
1. Full Exhaust (+13 WHP)
2. Headers (+15 WHP)
3. Pulley (+5 WHP)
4. Intake (+7 WHP)
5. ECU (+10 WHP)

Hi Guys,

Some Dyno Dynamics operators are running these cars in 3rd gear and others in 4th gear.

Unlike most cars, the results between gears on an E9x M3 are substantially different.

Therefore, it's totally pointless comparing results.

A STOCK car in 3rd gear will make 315 rwhp. A stock car in 4th gear will make 350+rwhp.

I have numerous example of this.

What we need to see is the road speed on the x-axis rather than RPM when looking between results.

A full catless exhaust and ecu flash will net you more than 23hp. Most of power gains from these bolt-on M3 are from the full race exhaust setups.

My previous 08 M3 made 333 bone stock with 3rd gear pull on a dyno dynamics.

Mr Harris, what grade of fuel were you using?

We generally find 335-345 rwhp in 3rd with premium grade fuel.

Are you suggesting that vendors are showing gains by dynoing in a different gear after the mods?

Not at all.

My point is that we should be comparing apples with apples and not oranges.

We have a large database of dyno graphs building up in different gears on the same dyno and the results are massively different.

See below graph as an example: (crank figures, wheel figures available if you want to see it).
