Brand new M3...I said BRAND NEW

I think that BMW took a look at Jesse's posts' and decided, "hey, lets give eric a chance"...LOL

I couldnt believe this car had the damage it did being brand new! I mean, a few swirl marks and holograms are one thing, but the severe scratching??? YIKES!

Started out with a sealant stripping wash...didnt do it completely, so I ended up doing some IPA wipedown to help rid the car of the dealer installed protection. prior to the wash, I looked over the car in the overcast skies, with my LED...couldnt really see too much damage. once the protection was lifted and the halogens were turned on, it was a different story! Luckily the BMW jerez black paint cleaned up nicely for me!

Process:
CGWG
no clay, was already done one week prior by the dealership prior to their sealer install
spot compounded 7 areas with deep imperfections x2 with 105/pfw/1500
whole car polished once over with PCXP and tangerine hydrotec pad with Menzerna 203 (I love this as a one step)
I then decided to take this to the next level and applied DWG to it with a black pad...It made a good difference to warrant the time (free again, lol)
After the DWG, I applied BFWD with a green sealant pad (used less product than with a black pad, I'll switch pads now)
gave the jambs a quick wipe down with megs LT/water and a vacuum to the interior.

Total time - 7 hours on the dot from arrive, unload, work, load up, departure
Good part: he signed up for my maintanence plan and I will now see that car once a month for a maintanence detail to keep it looking like this from now on!!!!

Pics of the damaged areas

Here are the glossy afters. there wasnt much in terms of major swirling, so a direct before and after wasnt really possible. i just took some of the corners, front and back (just for patrick!!!!) Overcast anyway...

sucks. I had the same problem when I picked up my car new. There was swirling all over the trunk. But nothing some waxing and scratchX couldnt fix.

That would be my ride. Man, did Eric do a great job! I was very impressed. I couldn't believe how much detail he put into everything. Highly recommended!

Was this sitting on dealers lot for a while? Even if it was an ordered car, they get washed several times before you take delivery..... If someone is not paying attention, it is all possible.

I am glad you were able to fix all the damage.
