removing old tint

Anybody know a fair price place that would remove old tint?

I called around and I get prices that are higher than what I am willing to pay to get it removed

Where are you? I have an awesome contact west of Tysons area that can get this done for you.

I removed the tint on my Audi with my steam machine
was super easy but time consuming

Try this: Diluted ammonia in a spray bottle. Black plastic garbage bag cut open large enough to cover the entire window.
Spray the solution on the tint. Cover the tint with the black plastic bag. Make sure the car is parked in the sun for faster results.
The black bag attracts heat and prevents the solution from drying out too quickly.
It's always worked for me. If you're in a rush, you can also help speed up the process using a blow dryer on the outside of the windshield. Start at one corner.

Can I borrow the steam machine if you still have it?

I tried that trick twice but it didn't work with me. It is either I am not using the right diluted ammonia (I am using 409 from Walmart) or it is getting dry too fast before applying the garbage bag

I just use whatever they have at the local dollar store. You can also find a tint removal kit from your local parts shop (maybe even Walmart) and just use the spray solution and garbage bag.

I paid a local shop $100 to remove my tint from both sides and the rear glass. This was with the roll cage in the car but I removed both seats to make it easier. Still a huge pain to remove the tint from the back glass.

Yes of course
PM me for details

You just have to go slow
And wait before you peel to make sure the steam has softened the adhesive
Otherwise the tint peels but the sticky residue remains
Which is ok because you can peel it with the tool I have that removes the county and registration sticker, just takes longer
