Yeah it's very good considering I'm mainly driving in city traffic..

Have you decided on a final colour combo yet??

Not really. I've decided to put it on ice until Jason calls up to finalise the order. Sort of too much time to think confuses things.

Mine has been around 14.8 around the city with a mix of traffic and some spirited driving.

Out on the freeway for a 100 km run and it was down around 10.5.... not bad overall and done about 500 kms so far.

10.5? That's outstanding!!

I have spend most of todays driving on a return Melbourne airport run & Eastlink loop to Frankston & just managed 13.6L/100.

Aggie, I will not be using LC. Ever.

I have a M series drive day on Sep 16... I will reset the computer and let you know how it goes then. The good thing is we get to use BMW cars not our own. Looking forward to it.

I wonder when us Melbourne crew will get the M day.. Probably just before aggie gets his car

I was waiting to turn from Commercial Rd onto Punt Rd (Prahran) the other day & saw a new AW M3 driving towards & past me. We gave each other the M3 wave

Probably right Luke. Stillwells have been very quiet lately but someone on the E90 forum said that pricing for the 09 cars should be released in Australia in the next week or two. Hopefully no longer as I'm off to the US for two weeks on the 14th and don't want to miss a build slot while we sort that out.

Interesting you mention the AW M3. I went past Stillwells last night and there was one in the window. Maybe that's your original order?

Funny thing is that down at BMW Melbourne there are 4 sitting on the forecourt plus one in the showroom. All manuals and all around the $150-$160k mark. Add to them the 2 that Doncaster had and there are a few out there looking for homes. Ex BMW cars perhaps?

Not sure about whether that's my original order or not. If it's still in there on Friday morning I'll have a close look.

Still cannot believe how excellent this car is!!

Hey Guys,

Car will be arriving on the 11th Sept now, not sure what happened maybe ran into bad weather or something because it sat in Africa for a couple of extra days.
It's funny actually I keep getting post cards from my car

Once it arrives though it could take upto 10 days to get through customs, programming, detailing etc. but im hoping it's a bit quicker than that.

Wow you guys are doing well on fuel

Fingers crossed for a end of month delivery then

Yeah the fuel ecconomy is a lot better than I expected it would be. It's been hovering around 13.5-13.7L/100km the last two weeks.

First service is this Friday so I'll open it up a bit more, when I can....

Welcome and congrats watrob,

Did you order that or straight off the lot, I'm sure i've seen that vert elsewhere. Looks great!
I'm starting to think i should of ordered MR.

Hey neraij,

Are you getting postcards too? I received one saying "the journey has a beginning" and then i received another saying "the journey has a destination" has all your info about the car on it. Its pretty neat actually

I know the dealer very very well. When he had to get a launch M3 convertible I did a deal with him to order that vehicle with the spec I wanted. He used it for 2 weeks to sell his allotted number of M3 convertible. Then I took delievery.

MB red is great colour especially in the sunlight. Have ordered a special DTM spoiler from Germany. Two to three week build & delievery date.

The eisenmann sports exhaust won't arrive for about 2 weeks also.

Attached is a photo of my AMG 55 CLK with the DTM spoiler and quad exhaust with 19" wheels
