We are taking it up slowly to see where the DCT's threshold is... Let's not forget this is a DCT equipped M3 unlike the ESSTuning 6MT 1,000hp Monster.

This is the same setup as ESS's minus the 4.4 stroker factor.

This is by no means a Dyno queen and the car is Daily Driven as those that personally know me can contest to.

The way it is set up now it will run a 5.5 60-130 which I'll be going back to test after we fresh'n up with a new tighter supercharger Belt which takes place tonight.

If you're ever around Fairfield County, shout as I'd love to see this beast!!!!

Generally true. Just like how many of the 911 turbos in this 60-130 time range are only putting down ~600 whp and some under.

Since it did the 5.9 second 60-130, it has gained another 50 HP and dropped 100+ pounds, so at ~630 wheel there is one n54 that will be battling it out with the built S65's.
Terry's 135I is so far the only one who has, and as you know, there's other variables too, like conditions and traction, the two biggest factors over anything else when it comes to Vbox runs.

Good points....and also, of course, it's Terry! I mean, he is in a completely different league than the rest of us. He has capabilities the general enthusiast does not and can test at (or even beyond) the limits and when he blows up engines and transmissions he just gets new ones or gets them built. It's all part of his company's product development. Of course we can't do that unless we want to shell out $25K every time we blow a motor or $10K for a trans plus labor. In that regard, having an N54 to play with is cheaper to find the limits.

Agreed, I'm a huge fan of Terry and his accomplishments, by far the N54 leader.

Can I ask a noob question? Is there any modification done to the transmission to handle doubling the whp of a stock m3?

Jesus, the HP curve from 2,500 to 6,500 looks like it was drawn with a damn ruler. Incredibly linear and all that power. Amazing build!

The 911's have a couple things going for them. One is traction and two is that they are less DA dependent than the fixed pulley blown M3's.

However, I must say here that Zim's car and Drew's car are far faster than these 60-130's show.

Let's take Drew's car first. In my last airstrip event, I ran Terry Burger's single turbo 135 gutted making 580 wheel with a verified 5.9 second 60-130. I pulled a car on him. Then I ran Drew. While we didn't exactly line up perfectly, we went from a dig and after gaining a huge lead, Drew pulled very hard on my car in the triple digits. His car is much faster than Terry's car. The half mile traps favored Drew as well (174 vs 168). So why did Drew only post a 6.4? Well I can tell you that it was done on a flat surfaced airstrip in warm day time conditions. I saw Drew do a 6.2 at the airstrip as well but the SD card was messed up so it didn't read. On a cool evening low DA and a negative slope, Drew's car is a mid-5 60-130 easy. Why hasn't he done it? It's a personal decision not to run those on the street. It's frankly sketchy on public roads believe me. Even if there is no traffic and you have radar, etc...getting caught going 130 is gonna get you in a lot of trouble.

As far as Zim's car, this is the first run. And it's low boost. Assuming he can maintain traction once he turns up the boost, this is a low-5 second 60-130 car easy. Maybe faster who knows. No one has been here yet.
