Arrow Track Day Saturday 10/23 @ MSR Houston

I will be heading to MSR Houston with a group of friends, and would like to invite members here as well.

Cost is $150 for the entire afternoon. 30 min sessions until late. Top of the hour bikes, bottom cares. You will need an instructor if you've never driven on the track before. Of course, that will be at extra cost.

Meet @ 12:30 at track. Be sure to sign in at the front office first.

Sounds fun! I've never tracked my car, it's completely stock, but getting it on a track does sound fun!!

Do some research on basic needs of the M3 on the track.

More familiar with Vettes myself, but I would at least change out the brake fluid for the racing variety (higher wet/dry boiling temps).

You don't really need any mods if this is your first time. I would highly recommend having an instructor though. MSR Houston has quite a few.

Because I am a new member I cannot PM. I have a stock 2011 m3 and would like to do the track day. I am coming out of a 2010 gt3, which I tracked a number of times. Do not know how specific you want me to be?

Can give you as much info as necessary.

Really want to show off my full akra awesomeness, as well as see your new Moton CS setup in action

I'm curious as to what the additional cost will be, but it looks like work will keep me from attending this one. I'll be flying out to West Virginia on the 21st

Can't make this one, but we'll be hosting an event in Nov. at MSR. I'll make a thread when I have the specifics

Porsche clubs PCAs have a lot of track days around the country. They have a good system of training at a very reasonable costs. All manner of cars drive in them a lot of M3s. You do both track and training time. Nothing like doing 130 mph into a turn and your instructor telling you not to take your foot of the gas. After you do several classes you graduate to fly single. First time you are completely worn out... Highly recommend it. You tend to avoid the stupid stuff on the road after doing the track days; for some reason you are suddenly smarter

Haha, so true. After a track day I drive back with extreme caution.

I'd LOVE to do this track day if I were in town. I'm actually going to MSR this Saturday for the Cadillac CTS-V driving event. Going to be driving a CTS coupe, CTS-V coupe and CTS-V sedan. Can't wait to toss those 556hp beheamoths around the track.
